Jean-Claude Taddei

start reading

Jean-Claude Taddei, a professor at the local business school in nearby Angers, runs what has to be the smallest winery in Savennières. It’s a pure garagiste operation, farming mostly by himself and aging a few barrels of wine each year in an annex space of his old stone house amongst the vines. His wines are stunning; some of the best Chenin we’ve tasted in a long time — electric and lightning-precise with both the potential for age or to drink now.
