Pellehaut 1988

This very classic Armagnac is all about richness and finesse. Rich tertiary flavors of dried stone fruits start off, followed underneath by deeper notes of fresh pastries and winter spices such as cinnamon and dried orange peel. 

On the palate, the full bodied Armagnac is extremely round and oily, with a great sultana sweetness and slight bitterness of dried fruits and fine cocoa. The eternally long finish is full of chocolate and hints of citrus fruit.

Pellehaut is hands-down the most refined producer in the Armagnac Ténarèze, a region typically thought of for its brawny and deep spirits, but the Béraut family have been crafting beautiful, elegant Ténarèze Armagnacs with both strength and finesse for two generations now.
