Affinité

We’d like to think we’re known now for having some excellent cult Champagne, and perhaps no one is more cult in our portfolio than Elise Déchannes. Elise makes magical zero-dosage Pinot Noirs in the Côte des Bar, a wild, wooded region in southern Champagne.

Affinité is mostly Pinot from the 2015 harvest with a little Chardonnay. Aged in steel tanks and then bottle conditioned before disgorgement. A 10 year-old bottle that’s perfectly aged to enjoy now, the Chardonnay giving a little cut and lift to balance out the richness of Pinot. 

It is a classic Élise Dechannes champagne, at once freewheeling and refined, and shows why these are highly coveted by everyone in the wine world, from the diviest hipster Copenhagen wine bars toy dapper sommeliers in the three-star Michelin restaurants.
