Cab Franc Grolleau "CF GN" 2022

The overlooked, historic Anjou red grape Grolleau makes a comeback here, co-fermented with Cabernet Franc for depth. Aged in fiberglass tanks (instead of oak barrels), bottled without filtration or fining — this is a fresh but deep and textured red that’s immediately enjoyable. Pair with bistro classics!

About the winemaker: The Anjou region of the Loire likely has France's highest concentration of neo-vignerons, winemakers who turned to grape-growing as a second career. Guillaume Noire is no exception, having left his Parisian graphic design business  behind a decade ago for Rablay-sur-Layon, a small village that’s home to a group of cult producers making excellent micro-production Chenin Blanc.
